Castle Dene is a care home within the Care South group. They were previously without an official logo as the home was recently renamed. Given the location of the home, near Castlepoint shopping centre and Bournemouth hospital, there wasn't a huge local inspiration for the logo unlike other Care South care homes.
With this in-mind, multiple ideas were presented which focused on the word castle, and a more simplistic approach with wildlife and nature.
The final logo was selected after combining the colours and leaves shown in the above mock ups. Care South decided to avoid using a Castle ident as to not mislead residents and their families into thinking there was a castle nearby or any history of one. Instead a mix of autumnal & summer colours were used to brighten up the logo.
The logo is now used across the website, brochures, signage and all advertising.
